8 months later and 500 hours of work and still no modification

I have been trying since November 2009 to get my loan modified by Bank Of America but have gotten nothing but the run around. I have spoken with people from B of A at least 50 times. Each time I was told something different or lied to. I have met with a B of A modification specialist 5 times to date. Each time I am told that I have submitted everything needed and I qualify but for some strange reason have been unsuccessful in actually getting a modification. I have been very successful at spending over 500 hours putting together the endless paper work required by B of A to prove that I qualify for a modification. I have been told that I qualify for a modification for 3 months now but as time and payments go by all I get is requests for more paperwork. It is obvious that I am getting the runaround so that B of A can suck as much money out of me as possible before they repossess my house of 21 years. It is disgusting because every time I am told I qualify for the modification and that no more paperwork will be needed another 4 to 6 weeks goes by and guess what - I am asked for more paperwork. In my opinion Obama made a big mistake by giving the banks the money in advance. If he would have told the banks they collect the bailout money when the modification is complete the modifications would be flying out their windows. I can't afford to keep paying the ridiculous interest rate I am paying now and I am upside down in my house because of value reductions so I can't refi. I don't want to lose my house of 21 years but Obama's plan isn't working guys. Is there any solution? I don't think so. All I know is that something has to be done soon or this country is going down the tubes. Imagine that, the fall of Capitalism and the United States as we now know it and the rise of Socialism. Wake up people before it's too late. We are the laughing stock of the world. They couldn't beat us militarily so they got one of their own elected President. If you think it's bad now wait another 3 years.
