I bought a 500 GB HDD from Barclays on last year. It got crashed within the first year. I visit the company asking for replacement. Funny thing was, they couldn't trace the item by using their own serial code. First they said warranty is over so nothing could be done. Then I showed them the proofs. Then they asked for a week for the replacement. Said they are just an agent and need the authorization from Samsung dealer in Singapore to issue a replacement but wasn't sure about it.

Then I queried about the data on it. they said they can not do anything and doesn't carry the required expertise nor the authorization to perform such a operation.

As per them they were not sure about the replacement even. I lost more than 200$ due to the HDD and an loads of valuable data. I won't recon this company for anyone. They are Crookes and not take care the customer queries.
