Title: CAUTION company does not fulfill obligations
Complaint by: zchad
Against: First Western Securities
Complaint Number: #: 88

I transferred a substantial amount of money to this firm for them to manage. I requested that they set up a simple bank draft each month to have money put into a Roth IRA. This required that I give them a cancelled check, which I hand delivered to there offices. After a month of not seeing the draft take place i called and was told that they lost my check. (red flag #1). I was told to bring another check, which I did and was told the draft would be done in 10 buisness days. A month passed and nothing happened. I again made contact with my representative and was told that some paperwork needed to be corrected. I signed all that paperwork and waited another month (RED FLAG #2) . I called and was told that the paperwork was pending and should be done any day. This game went on for nine months and a bank draft was never set up and my money sat idle for all that time. I then made the decision to tranfer my money to another broker. The broker requested the money be transferred and the games started all over again. My new advisor advised they had never dealt with such issues. The money was finally transferred after four months and many phone calls. I was then hit with over 400 dollars in fees and I acutally had to pay 1600 dollars to tranfer my money to these people. BEWARE
